SmartForm for Smartsheet automatically updates the dropdown list and contact list options of a field in real-time, based on previous selections made in another field on Smartsheet forms.
The Department list will dynamically adjust based on the selected Company, while the Team list will dynamically adjust based on the selected Department. This ensures fast and accurate data entry on Smartsheet forms.
A normal Smartsheet form previously confused users with a lengthy dropdown list of Department options. With the SmartForm solution, the form now only displays the relevant departments of Company A, simplifying the user experience.
The Configuration sheet is created in Smartsheet to define dependency relationships between the Company, Department, and Team fields.
The SmartForm task is created in Gia Thinh Automation Services. The task is defined with information related to the Form URL, Company/Department relationship, and Department/Team relationship.
The WeGRID SmartForm extension developed by Gia Thinh can be downloaded and installed in your web browsers, enabling the connection between your Form and Gia Thinh Automation Service.
